Portnox Cloud Update 2025.07 Jun 26, 2025 00:01-03:01 EDT

Today’s workforce is more distributed than ever. Working remotely, on-site, or in hybrid environments, and often from multiple devices. As a result, employees are accessing business-critical applications from potentially unsecured networks and unmanaged or unprotected devices. This significantly expands your organization’s threat surface and introduces serious security challenges for your IT teams. In our ongoing commitment to solving real-world challenges for our customers, Portnox is introducing our first release of Portnox ZTNA on Wednesday June 25th to provide a new, modern alternative for secure remote access.

The upgrade is scheduled to take place at 11 pm Central. No service interruption is expected. If you experience any issues after the upgrade, please contact our support team for assistance.

For existing CAA and UAC customers, Conditional Access for Applications will be incorporated into the ZTNA product. This will not impact your current licensing or require any reconfiguration of your existing applications. The only visible change will be that the "Applications" menu will now be labeled "ZTNA Resources." As a CAA or UAC customer, you will automatically gain the ability to provide secure remote access to both cloud-based and hosted applications as a part of your existing subscription.

Resolved - We recently identified and resolved a SCEP service issue that impacted a subset of customers using Microsoft Intune. The issue was triggered after a library upgrade introduced stricter enforcement of certificate standards, in line with RFC 5280, Section 4.2.1.1.

Specifically, the updated library began rejecting certificate requests where the Authority Key Identifier extension was incorrectly marked as critical, a violation of the RFC, but a configuration sometimes present in temporary certificates generated by Intune.

We’re taking additional steps to improve visibility into similar edge cases going forward. If you have questions or continue to experience issues, please contact our support team.

Scheduled - In our continued commitment to provide outstanding service to all our customers, we will be rolling upgrades to the latest version of AgentP for MacOS from Thursday June 5th.

The rollout will occur in four phases, with each phase occurring one week following the previous. All AgentP clients will be upgraded by June 26th at the latest.

- Phase 1 – June 5th - organizations with up to 10 active Agents
- Phase 2 – June 12th - organizations with up to 100 active Agents
- Phase 3 – June 19th - organizations with up to 1000 active Agents
- Phase 4 – June 26th - all remaining organizations

MacOS AgentP
- new version 1.1.211
- addresses an issue with automatic deactivation in case there is no logged user in MacOS. Typical symptoms are recuring alerts about ‘Device has unenrolled’/’New device was enrolled’.

With the AgentP upgrade, NO INTERRUPTION IN SERVICE IS EXPECTED. If for any reason you experience any issues following the update, please contact our support team for assistance. https://support.portnox.com
