What’s Included in 2026.11

Portnox Cloud Platform

  • Time-Based Access Restrictions: Portnox Cloud and Contractor accounts can now be restricted by time of day and day of week. This capability applies to accounts used for NAC, TACACS+, and ZTNA.
  • Google ChromeOS Certificate Provisioning: The Portnox Cloud Platform now fully supports Google’s new Certificate Provisioning API for distributing certificates to ChromeOS devices.
  • Agentless Generative AI Risk Scoring: Portnox’s Generative AI Risk Score can now be computed without requiring AgentP deployment, simplifying implementation and extending visibility into generative AI usage.

TACACS+

  • Expanded MFA Support: Okta Verify and Cisco Duo can now be used for multi-factor authentication (MFA) with Portnox TACACS+, providing additional flexibility for securing administrative access to network devices.

Network Access Control (NAC)

  • ARM Architecture Support for Local RADIUS: Portnox Local RADIUS now natively supports ARM-based hardware, enabling deployment on Raspberry Pi and similar compact, low-cost, solid-state devices.
  • New Firewall Identity Mapping Integrations: Integrations with Check Point and FortiGate firewalls provide user-to-IP mapping, enabling administrators to define access policies based on individual users, accounts, and group membership rather than relying solely on IP addresses or subnets.

Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)

  • Rich Document Editing: Many common file types, including Microsoft Office formats, can now be opened and edited directly within ZTNA using a rich editor, eliminating the need to download files, modify them locally, and upload the changes.
  • Enhanced File Management: ZTNA File Manager now supports drag-and-drop operations for files and folders, as well as bulk uploads and downloads.
  • Mobile File Access: ZTNA users can now remotely access and manage their files from mobile devices.
  • Comprehensive File Audit Events: Audit events are now generated when users create, copy, open, move, rename, upload, download, or delete files, providing greater visibility into file activity.
  • Simplified Certificate Selection: Customers using Portnox Connect to provision computers for ZTNA access should experience significantly fewer certificate selection prompts.
  • Storage Capacity Visibility: Storage capacity limits and usage information are now available directly within ZTNA File Manager.
  • Simplified SSO Integration: When integrating ZTNA with SSO resources, administrators can now import Service Provider (SP) and Identity Provider (IdP) metadata files, where available, to simplify configuration.
  • Risk-Based Access Policies: Administrators can now optionally require a device risk posture evaluation when granting access to selected ZTNA resources.
  • Agentless Secure Remote Access: Certificates issued through the Self-Onboarding portal can now be used to authenticate to ZTNA resources, enabling secure remote access without requiring an endpoint agent.
  • Operating System Restrictions for Self-Onboarded Devices: Administrators can now restrict ZTNA access for self-onboarded devices by operating system—for example, allowing Windows and macOS devices while blocking mobile devices.
