In our continued commitment to providing outstanding service to all our customers, we will begin rolling upgrades to the local RADIUS proxy VMs in the week of May 27th.
While the upgrade is performed, customers utilizing our cloud RADIUS services as their primary or secondary backup for a locally deployed RADIUS proxy should see no interruption in service. Similarly, customers who are not using the Local RADIUS proxy will be unaffected by the change. This upgrade to the local RADIUS proxy is focused on security updates and updating security libraries.
The rollout will occur in four phases, with each phase occurring one week following the previous. All organizations utilizing Local Radius VMs will be upgraded by June 19th at the latest.
- Phase 1 – May 29th – organizations with up to 100 devices
- Phase 2 – June 5th – organizations with up to 500 devices
- Phase 3 – June 12th - organizations with up to 2000 devices
- Phase 4 – June 19th – all remaining organizations
On June 19th we will also publish the latest release of our Local Radius Docker image (https://hub.docker.com/r/portnox/portnox-radius). We strongly recommend upgrading your docker image by using command ‘docker pull portnox/portnox-radius:latest’, as we are not able to perform the update of docker image automatically.
During the same week of May 27th, we will also begin rolling out upgrades for the MacOS version of AgentP.

- Phase 1 – May 30th - organizations with up to 10 MacOS Agents
- Phase 2 – June 6th - organizations with up to 100 MacOS Agents
- Phase 3 – June 13th - all remaining organizations
This new version of MacOS AgentP provides data transfer optimizations and several minor bug fixes. With the AgentP upgrade, NO INTERRUPTION IN SERVICE IS EXPECTED.
