Local Radius and Local Tacacs+ Virtual Appliance Upgrade from 2024-10-23 23:00 CDT to 2024-10-24 00:00 CDT

Maintenance will begin as scheduled in 60 minutes.

In our continued commitment to providing outstanding service to all our customers, we will begin rolling upgrades to the local RADIUS proxy VMs and Local Tacacs+ VMs in the week of October 21st.
While the upgrade is performed, customers utilizing our cloud RADIUS services as their primary or secondary backup for a locally deployed RADIUS proxy or Local Tacacs+ should see no interruption in service. Similarly, customers who are not using the Local RADIUS proxy or Local Tacacs+ will be unaffected by the change. This upgrade to the local RADIUS proxy and Local Tacacs+ is focused on security updates and updating security libraries.

The rollout will occur in three phases, with each phase occurring one week following the previous. All organizations utilizing Local Radius or Local Tacacs+ virtual appliance will be upgraded by November 7th at the latest.

• Phase 1 – October 24th – organizations with up to 100 devices
• Phase 2 – October 31st – organizations with up to 1000 devices
• Phase 3 – November 7th – all remaining organizations

On October 31st we will also publish the latest release of our Local Radius Docker image (https://hub.docker.com/r/portnox/portnox-radius) and Local Tacacs Docer image (https://hub.docker.com/r/portnox/portnox-tacacs). We strongly recommend upgrading your docker image by using command ‘docker pull portnox/portnox-radius:latest’ or ‘docker pull portnox/portnox-tacacs:latest’, as we are not able to perform the update of docker image automatically.
