Scheduled
December 9, 2024 · 01:41 CST
In our ongoing commitment to providing outstanding service to all our customers, we are planning to perform a routine Portnox Cloud upgrade on Sunday, December 15th, at 11PM CST and complete it around 2AM CST on Monday, December 16th.
New features & improvements
- Authentication sessions – new view accessible from each authentication alert, which aggregates all details about authentication and simplifies troubleshooting of authentication issues
- Portnox Conditional Access Perpetual Policy Enforcement – Perpetual policy enforcement validates user risk score and immediately reacts on violation. This means that user session will be revoked in case their device reaches ‘Block score’. Perpetual Policy Enforcement is available for EntraID identity provider (formerly AzureAD).
- Identity Pre-Shared Key (IPSK) – allows administrators to add additional security to MAC-based authentication. iPSK can be specified for MAC-based account, which gives admin an ability to revoke iPSK at any time without affecting any of the other devices connecting to the network.
- Support for Extreme Wing Captive Portal – Extreme Wing is another vendor supported by Portnox Captive Portal.
Usability & Supportability Improvements
- Portnox Conditional Access Identity Mismatch setting - allows administrator to require identities in certificate and actual CAA user to match.
- Guest users can define their own password – allows guests connected via captive portal to define their own passwords.
- Guest Portal SMS Authentications supports Domain-Bound Codes – allows iOS users to use “enter code from text message” when accessing guest portal with SMS authentication
Bug Fixes
- Addressed an issue where AgentP creates two accounts for same account (name + nickname)
- Addressed an issue with Azure integration where an apostrophe was present in name/mail
During the upgrade process no interruption in service is expected. If for any reason you experience any issues following the upgrade, please contact our support team for assistance.
